We gave her heirloom a modern update.

A client came to us with a piece she’d inherited—something with deep sentimental value, but stuck in a style that didn’t feel like her. It was the kind of heirloom you treasure but never wear. Too formal, too dated, too much like someone else’s jewelry.

She wanted to keep the story, but make it hers.

Since her birthstone is opal, we built the redesign around that—this time with a bold, dark opal at the center. The colors in it were incredible: flashes of green, blue, even hints of red, depending on the light. We softened the setting, updated the structure, and added a row of diamonds to bring it all together.

What we ended up with was something entirely new, but still rooted in her family’s story. Now it’s a piece she wears often—modern, personal, and made to match her life today.
